Acklio received the 2021 Innovation Award during the LoRaWAN World Expo that took place in Paris July 6-7 2022. The prestigious award is granted to Acklio for pioneering the work on “Static Context Header Compression” (SCHC), which brings the support of Internet Protocols (IPv6) over LoRaWAN (Granted Awards).
Officially adopted in the LoRaWAN specification last May, IPv6 is now live, deployed in the field, and available off-the-shelf from key players with Acklio SCHC. LoRaWAN can seamlessly support Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) from end-to-end. This expands the LoRaWAN’s addressable IoT market to include internet based standards required in smart metering and new applications in smart buildings, industries, logistics, and homes. This milestone is made possible by the innovation and significant contributions of Acklio (press release).
As a pioneer and leader in this new capability, Acklio brings to LoRaWAN players: true scalable interoperability, global network convergence, and efficient IP/UDP-based services over LoRaWAN. To enable fast go to-market IPv6 over LoRaWAN applications, Acklio offers free access to off-the-shelf industrial solutions through its developer program. The community edition allows to have free access to the technology with rich and well documented open source examples including DLMS over LoRaWAN.
